1) Nourish your mind and spirit on a continuous basis by feeding your mind with inspirational books/CDs.

2) Lighten-up and laugh more often.

3) Reach out to someone without being asked or expecting something in return.

4) Give a compliment to someone to whom you may have never complimented before.

5) Take a baby step or a giant step towards one of your goals and celebrate. Every step counts!

6) Practice patience and understanding (count to 10 or pause before reacting).

7) Take a break, even if only for 10 minutes and do something special for yourself.

Make a commitment to yourself for a minimum of ten minutes every day to fill your energy tank and to recharge your batteries. It can be as simple as enjoying your favorite cup of tea or just changing your scenery at home as well as at work. For example, go outside and feel the warmth of the sunshine on your face.

When you take care of yourself every day you will quickly see the rewards. You will have more energy and be more productive both personally and professionally.

When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits,
I dreamed of changing the world.

As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change my country.

But, it too, seemed immovable.

As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.

And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed myself first, then by example I would have changed my family.

From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country and, who knows, I may have even changed the world.

I have to live with myself and so
